Good wine in Moffat......

The Annandale Wine List

It is not surprising that the word wine rhymes with the word dine.  As with the menus a lot of care has been spent sourcing different wines  from slightly out of the way vineyards so hopefully you will not find any of these on the supermarket shelves.  But where the Annandale leads others follow.....

Ten years ago the hotel had two bins one was marked red and one marked white.  Things have moved on a bit since then and listed here are some of our present stock.  It is not all here but it gives a taste of the range.

We use a number of merchants such as Corneys, Justerinis as well as some local suppliers such as Tony at the Moffat Wine Shop ,in Well Street Moffat, who can be recommend very highly.  Generally we have tried to give a wide range at very reasonable prices keeping below thirty pounds mark. There is a bit of a bias towards claret. Where possible links have been installed to relevant web sites.

Vintages and prices will be subject to change and availability.   Prices are current at August 2008
